Presentation Style: Ellen establishes a
relaxed and comfortable atmosphere in her workshops. Standard

Ellen Marshall, Ph. D., has worked in early childhood and
special education for 30 years in Virginia and Texas. She has
been a classroom teacher, curriculum developer, coordinator
for a technical assistance center for early childhood special
education teachers, and is currently a professor at San
Antonio College in Texas. She¡¦s presented and consulted
locally, nationally, and internationally. Ellen has worked
with teachers in international schools in Brazil, Costa Rica,
Italy, Jordan, and Mexico. Her workshops are delivered from a
constructivist perspective; she builds on participant¡¦s prior
knowledge while logically guiding them through assimilation
and incorporation of information. Her presentations include
supportive theory and research along with current best
practices for early childhood education. Ellen has received
three higher education excellence awards for her work with
adult learners. Her education training is from the University
of North Carolina in Greensboro, Old Dominion University in
Virginia, and Texas A&M; University in Texas.
