Dr. William N. Bender

Dr. William N. Bender is a national leader in instructional tactics and differentiated instruction. He has an innate ability to use a combination of practical strategies and easy humor that keep audience members perched on the edge of their seats, eager to hear the knowledge he has mastered. Dr. Bender is widely recognized in education for students with learning disabilities and behavior problems. Dr. Bender has been a professor at the University of Georgia for the past 18 years and has written over 60 published articles and over a dozen books. His latest books are: Relational Discipline: Strategies For In-Your-Face Kids and Differentiated Instruction in Math.

Robin Fogarty holds  a doctorate in curriculum from Loyola University, and is a veteran of many years in the classroom.  As a leading proponent of the thoughtful, classroom, Robin has trained educators throughout the world in curriculum, instruction and assessment strategies. She is the author of  numerous publications including Brain-Compatible Classrooms, and Ten Things New Teachers Need.

Dr. Rita King Dr. Rita King has 20 years of teacher-training experience. As an international consultant, Rita conducts training sessions for teachers, administrators, and parents on local, state, and international levels. Her areas of expertise include multiple intelligences, instruction, motivation strategies, preparing children for kindergarten, creating effective learning environments, the writing process, using content texts and materials to teach reading skills, and strategies for test success.

Debra Harris Debra Harris is a certified teacher with over 10 years of classroom teaching experience. She has taught in several elementary schools and magnet schools in the Atlanta, GA area. She is also a former educational consultant with Scott Foresman/Addison-Wesley Publishing Company. She has conducted hundreds of workshops and in-services throughout the United States. Cara Shores Cara Shores has trained thousands of teachers and administrators in practical strategies for increasing achievement for all students. Her workshops are often billed as “the best training I've ever attended.” She was principal author of the Georgia Student Support Team Manual and she recently served on the Georgia Task Force for Student Support Teams. She is also president of Wesley Educational Services and author of Positive Outcomes: Utilizing Student Support Teams as a Tool for School Improvement.
