Henry Pankey is a nationally acclaimed educator, author, comedian, staff developer, and motivational speaker. He currently serves as the principal of Southern High School in Durham, North Carolina, the site of the 2000 "State of American Education" Address delivered by U.S. Secretary of Education Richard Riley. Mr. Pankey is the recipient of numerous awards including the 2000 Principal of the Year in Durham Public Schools and the 1999 Hall of Fame Ida B. Wells Risk Taker Award bestowed by the National Alliance of Black School Educators. He has attended ten different universities and holds 14 licenses in education and administration.
