Lynn Regan

Lynn Regan combines technology and special education to make learning a rewarding experience for students with learning disabilities. Her experience and talent make Lynn a speaker with a 'state of the art presentation" and has won her numerous honors.

While she attended Trenton State College, where she received her B.A. in education, Lynn interned at the Katzenbach School for the Deaf. Lynn has experience working with students with perceptual impairments, neurological impairments, ADHD, emotional disturbances, and hearing impairments. As technology has begun to flourish, Lynn recently became interested in combining technology and special education. She currently serves as an appointed technology curriculum coordinator and instructor for special education at Toms River Intermediate School in Toms River, New Jersey.

For her innovative work, Lynn has received a number of awards which include New Jersey Teacher of the Year for 1990, National Teacher of the Year by IBM/Technology & Learning for 1990, and the New Jersey Department of Special Education's special award for Innovative Use of Computers in Special Education. In addition, she was nominated for the Computer World Smithsonian Technology Leadership Award in Education.

Lynn has been active in the integration of technology in Special Education. She was on the first technology pilot program for special education at her school. She continues to serve in inservice activities which educate the staff, professionals, and para-professionals in the area of technology. She served on several projects to develop curriculum for the U.S. Department of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services. She has traveled to several states presenting for IBM at Administrator Conferences on technology and special education. Lynn does consulting for Skillbank Corporation, a company that develops software for special education. She has had several articles published in newsletters and magazines along with being a member of the advisory board to Technology & Learning magazine.

Lynn is an excellent speaker who presents a "21st Century classroom" that is manageable and workable for every teacher.
